We live in a world of instant gratification. When we want to know something, we want to get the information very quickly. Online searches have helped with that, as many things can be found in seconds. If you know how to look, you can find out who is behind any phone number with your Internet connection. This is much easier than it ever was, and it may only take you minutes to find out what you need.
A radio can also help you get stations that you normally wouldn't get with your old radio. This fact alone makes it a great investment. You don't have to scan trying to find a radio station anymore. You'll find a lot of stations with a recommended sepura earpieces. So you're getting a lot of radio stations at great quality reception. That sounds like a great deal to anyone. Vought pilots had never seen nor worn crash helmets. Wearing them would give protection if at high speeds the plane hit an air pocket. When I put in a request for a hard hat, Purchasing could not find a supplier. The military had not accepted hard hats yet. When they did, such hard helmets were plentiful. But that was not until late 1946, several months after my request. For me, having played football at an eastern college, I was able to get surplus football helmets from my school's athletic department. The electrical shop at Chance Vought wired them for tetra communications. That was as close as we got to hard hats. Although gaudy, they worked. I've kept (actually my mother kept) my primitive helmet, and it generates many questions at book signings. What's important to keep in mind is don't wait until you have a problem. If you do, there are airwave communications available, but it will cost more and may well blow your maintenance budget. The sepura business battery life is good. I carry Cobra microTALK 25Mile 2 way Radio with me all day, and then put both units into the dual charger at the end of the day. Next morning, they are both fully charged.
